Authorities in Wisconsin say a man was arrested after investigators matched his social media content to surveillance footage showing him engaging in lewd conduct at a public park.
Police identified the suspect as Malik Wallace, who was taken into custody following complaints from visitors at a park in Milwaukee. According to officials, multiple reports were filed over several weeks alleging that a man had been publicly masturbating in a wooded section of the park during daylight hours.
Detectives reviewed security footage from nearby buildings and park facilities as part of the investigation. During that process, investigators said they located publicly accessible social media posts allegedly uploaded by Wallace that appeared to show the same park setting and similar clothing worn by the individual captured on camera.
Authorities said distinctive tattoos and accessories visible in both the footage and the online posts helped confirm the suspect’s identity. Police did not name the social media platform but said the content was available to the public.
Wallace was arrested without incident and charged with indecent exposure and disorderly conduct. Jail records indicate he is being held pending an initial court appearance.
